Celebrating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month

How will you celebrate during the month of May?  I will be busy with API events at my job…I have been involved with the EEO programs at my job for about 15 years. You would think I would be bored of celebrating API history month but actually I learn something new every year.  I am very fortunate to have a co-chair, Thomas S. who is insightful and thoughtful and from whom I have learned so much from.

The program EEO program so allows me to help out with other EEO programs and I think being exposed and helping plan other special emphasis groups programs give me so many more perspectives I would never otherwise be exposed to.  I am looking forward to the LGBT EEO program at my job. My good friend and I are helping the chairperson with the program. It should be educational and quite the celebration since it will be the first ever of it’s kind.
