I am pretty exhaused because of walking around all day but very happy because I have added some new items to my tokidoki collection.  I finally got my Mozzarella!  He is very cute! I just love him- I also picked up a tokidoki journal which I have not  seen before. 

I met a lot of cool people carrying tokidoki bags. This is Theresa with her campeggio Inferno bag. She was very nice-her and I were carrying the same bag.

 

I am also very, very sad to report all of the FAKE tokidoki bags I saw. I took candid photos of them, I cut off their heads to protect their identity because I did not want to put them on BLAST but I can’t believe they showed up with fake bags, when 99% of people were running around expo with the real deal! UUUGGGHHH! We love tokidoki and want to support the integrity of Simone Legno’s work.  Come on people!

So getting up at the crack of dawn and heading out to Long Beach proved to make a very long day but I had a blast.  Met alot of cool people and took pics of fellow tokidoki lovers.  First I met “Amy“, she is carrying the Spiaggia bag and later I met “Ashley“, she is carrying the Adios bag.  I saw so many tokidoki bags I lost count. 

Watched some Anime, did lots of people watching and walked through the Vendor hall where I met Denise from www.ningyoushi.com I bought my Bastardino and Polpettina from her.  She was so nice I had to take a pic and blog about her store. 

I also met some really nice folks at www.tofugirls.com They had a fantastic booth.  Their designs are so adorable and really reflect their definition of woman power.  I met Mindy and she was really nice.  You have to check out their site. 

 

I can’t sleep…in these than 4 minutes it will be tomorrow. I will be off to AX 2007. I will have to leave early due to traffic but it will be worth it.

I got my attendee badge in the mail today and I am packed and ready for an Anime packed weekend. FUN! FUN! FUN!

Anime Expo® is the primary annual event hosted by The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA). As a vehicle to promote animation and comics and a venue for the fan community, it has the pleasure of being the largest tradeshow in the US of its kind. In 2005, in its 14th year of existence, Anime Expo®’s attendance topped 33,000 attendees over the course of 4 days. Despite this success, Anime Expo® is still predominantly run by fans, who volunteer their time and efforts.

I have been looking forward to this weekend all summer.  Where else can you watch Anime 24 hours a day side by side with your fellow Otaku dressed up as your favorite character and nobody looks at you strange?

Shop for your favorite anime and manga characters in a huge convention hall where hundreds of vendors have goodies galore.  Oh, I can’t forget to mention all the free stuff they hand out like manga books, stickers and t-shirts. What would a convention be without the swag! There are cosplay contests, dances, fan forums and karaoke

If you have been to AX before,  you know what I mean.  If you have never been to an AX before, GO! I promise that you will not be disappointed.
